The Story

“We were buried with Him through baptism into death… that we too may live a new life.” Romans 6:4

Though small in size, this painting holds far more meaning than expected. What began as a simple Easter scene, became a deeper revelation about faith, growth, and God's work in our lives.

In Genesis, humanity's story began in a garden, a place of perfect fellowship with God. But when sin entered, that garden was lost, and death took root in its place. Yet, through Jesus, God began a restoration. Jesus was buried in a garden tomb, and on the third day, He rose again. When Mary Magdalene mistook Him for a gardener, it wasn’t by accident, it was a revelation: Jesus is the true Gardener, the One who brings life from death, planting seeds of faith in what once was desolate.

The flowers here represent the seeds God plants in our lives, whether through a loved one’s prayer, a friend’s encouragement, or the testimony of a stranger. These small, faithful moments are never by accident. Like Jesus, who moved from city to city planting seeds through healing, teaching, and love, faith spreads not only in grand gestures but through wildflower-like persistence.

At the center stands the cross, high on a hill, unmoved, eternal. It’s not just a symbol of renewal; it’s the source of it. The flowers growing toward the cross remind us that every seed of faith leads us to Him. What was once barren now blooms. Where there was death, Christ brought life.

This painting is a testimony: the garden has been restored. The seeds have been planted, now let them grow.
